I cannot tell you how hard it has been for me to keep this Sophie Stool a secret!! Every time I walk past it (or steal it back from the boys), I get such a rush of happiness. I’m so pleased that I can finally tell you about it :)
Revisiting Yarndale
It is hard to believe that it has been a year since I attended Yarndale for the first time. Just like so many of you, I wasn’t able to go this year. I’ve been feeling a bit sorry for myself all weekend, and that simply won’t do! I decided to remedy this by revisiting last year’s show and taking you along for the ride :)
Sophie’s Universe in Scheepjes Whirl
Jenny has been a very busy bee! She has fallen head over heels in love with Scheepjes Whirl and every time I see her, it feels like she has started another Whirl project. Of all the Whirl projects she has made so far, her Whirl Sophie is my favourite! It is just so bright and beautiful.
Yarn 2: Midnight Garden Edition and My Midnight Garden Lapghan
The Midnight Garden Lapghan I designed for Yarn 2 is a celebration of moonlit walks and simple crochet pleasures. The pattern is easy to memorise and the motifs are small, making it the perfect choice for an on-the-go project. Although the colours aren’t traditional baby colours, this blanket would be great as a gift for a new baby.
Devon Sun Yarns Retreat June 2017
I have just returned from my sixth yarn retreat with Devon Sun Yarns, and this one was a particularly special one. It felt like a big family get-together :)
Scheepjes Whirl and a New Project
Jenny and I are working on a new pattern and when we were discussing which yarn would work best, we both immediately said: “Whirl”! Next week we will show you some work in progress photos, followed by the reveal the week after that, and the pattern the week after that.
Lookatwhatimade on The Yarn Thing Podcast
I will be chatting to Marly Bird on The Yarn Thing podcast this evening, and I am both excited and nervous about it! I hope you will be able to join us!
Show and Tell: Waltham Abbey Wool Show 2017
When Kate Towerzey and Diana Bensted asked me if I would open the Waltham Abbey Yarn show in January, I immediately said yes! I couldn’t quite believe that they had asked me, and kept thinking that they would say: “Actually, we’ve made a mistake. We are going to ask someone else.”
Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside (With Yarn)
I am so looking forward to next weekend’s yarn retreat with Devon Sun Yarns. In the meantime, I am reliving the last retreat. I always seem to come back with a million photos!
A Touch of Scallop – Crochet Basket Pattern
Crochet baskets are one of my favourite projects, both to create and to use. They are great for stash-busting and useful too!
