Show and Tell: Namaqualand Blanket
The Namaqualand blanket is very dear to my heart. I designed it for my South African crochet tour with Be Inspired last year and the colours and pattern are meant to reflect the beautiful flower-strewn fields that grace Namaqualand every spring.
Scheepjes Whirl
I have walked around with hearts in my eyes ever since I first saw a sneak peek of the new Scheepjes Whirl. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a cake (or three)! I will admit that I shoved everything else aside as soon as the yarn arrived and have been playing (and playing, and playing) with it for the last 10 days. It has jolted me into a much-needed creative frenzy.
Show and Tell: Waltham Abbey Wool Show 2017
When Kate Towerzey and Diana Bensted asked me if I would open the Waltham Abbey Yarn show in January, I immediately said yes! I couldn’t quite believe that they had asked me, and kept thinking that they would say: “Actually, we’ve made a mistake. We are going to ask someone else.”
A Sense of Belonging
When I went on my first Scheepjes Bloggers Weekend a year and a half ago, I could never have imagined that I would make the kind of friends that I have. Occasionally I still feel like I should pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside (With Yarn)
I am so looking forward to next weekend’s yarn retreat with Devon Sun Yarns. In the meantime, I am reliving the last retreat. I always seem to come back with a million photos!
Show and Tell: Be Inspired Workshops at I Love Yarn
We had such a lot of fun at the Be Inspired workshops in Pretoria. The company was great, the snacks were amazing, and the crochet…WOW!
Smile of Joy Scarf Pattern
The Smile of Joy scarf is textured and colourful. Although the pattern works best with Willow Yarns Dappled yarn, it will look great in scrap yarn too.
Charlotte’s Dream: The Yarn
While I have been busy playing around with growing Charlotte, Jenny has created a gorgeous blanket that features 12 Charlottes in striking vintage colours. The pattern for Charlotte’s Dream will be posted on this site on the 28th of October. In the meantime, join us as we look at the yarn and colours we have used for this blanket.
Playing With Scheepjes Sweet Treat and Colour Combinations
One of the best things about being a Scheepjes Blogger is that I get to play with all the new yarns. I had a ball of a time playing with the colours in the Maxi Bonbon range, and I hope that you find a colourway to suit your personality.
