It is hard to believe that it has been a year since I attended Yarndale for the first time. Just like so many of you, I wasn’t able to go this year. I’ve been feeling a bit sorry for myself all weekend, and that simply won’t do! I decided to remedy this by revisiting last year’s show and taking you along for the ride :)

Sophie’s Universe in Scheepjes Whirl
Jenny has been a very busy bee! She has fallen head over heels in love with Scheepjes Whirl and every time I see her, it feels like she has started another Whirl project. Of all the Whirl projects she has made so far, her Whirl Sophie is my favourite! It is just so bright and beautiful.
Show and Tell: Namaqualand in Colour Crafter Velvet

Yarn 2: Midnight Garden Edition and My Midnight Garden Lapghan
The Midnight Garden Lapghan I designed for Yarn 2 is a celebration of moonlit walks and simple crochet pleasures. The pattern is easy to memorise and the motifs are small, making it the perfect choice for an on-the-go project. Although the colours aren’t traditional baby colours, this blanket would be great as a gift for a new baby.
Devon Sun Yarns Retreat June 2017
I have just returned from my sixth yarn retreat with Devon Sun Yarns, and this one was a particularly special one. It felt like a big family get-together :)

So, while I keep myself busy with pondering, you are welcome to start making this shawl.
Show and Tell: My Story Shawl
We all have stories to tell and each of us has our own way of doing it. I like to tell my stories with yarn and a crochet hook, so I thought it only fitting that I call this shawl ‘My Story’. When I was still at school, we read a book called ‘Groen is […]
