Hello and Welcome to the Universe in Bloom CAL 2025. This post will be your go-to post for anything CAL related. Here you will find all the information you need regarding the crochet-along.
I have been so excited, waiting to start this new crochet adventure with you. As always, may you have a lot of fun and make many new friends along the way!
Universe in Bloom CAL 2025
The Scheepjes Universe in Bloom CAL starts next Wednesday (8 October 2025), and will last for 11 weeks. The instructions will be shared by Scheepjes as free weekly PDFs, with additional step-by-step photo tutorials on my website, and videos by me (English) and Michael Wassenaar (Dutch). You will be able to find the links to each part of the CAL in the ‘Timeline’ below as they are released.

- Tips and Tricks PDFs – contains all the information you need to help prepare you for the CAL, including gauge, size, materials, and special stitch instructions:
- Special Stitches and Techniques Post – contains photo tutorials for all the stitches and techniques used in this CAL.
- Ravelry: Add the CAL to your Ravelry Queue
- Facebook: Join the Official Scheepjes – International Group (English) or the Official Scheepjes – Nederlandse Groep (Dutch) on Facebook if you would like to be a part of the friendly, supportive community on there while you work through the pattern. You have to be logged into Facebook in order to access the link to the groups.
- Video Tutorials: I will be doing the English video tutorials, and Michael Wassenaar from Mike’s Creatieve Wereld will be doing the Dutch videos (right- and left-handed). Links will be supplied at the start of each part.

Translations
Please Note: The photo tutorials on my website are written in English US terminology.
The following translations will be available as PDFs on the Scheepjes website (via the links supplied at the start of each part):

The list of translations will evolve as we work through the CAL, with additional translations being done by volunteers and shared in the Scheepjes Facebook groups. As I become aware of more translations, I will add them here.
Difficulty
Although this is an intermediate pattern, it has been written specifically with adventurous beginners in mind.
