Instructions
Using the same colour as the last round of the Raindrops, we will now join the 6 Raindrops in each colourway so that they form a flower. Apologies in advance for the million ends (here and throughout)!
Once we have created our flowers, we will fill the hole in the centre of each one.
Joining the Raindrops
Place two raindrops on top of each other with RS facing each other. Starting in the tr after the ch-1 corner sp and working through both layers throughout, make a sc.
Make sure that you are identifying the top of these tr sts correctly, keeping in mind that your stitch anatomy changes if the back of your work is facing you. This step is important! If you need help with this, please see the linked tutorial in the Special Stitches Post.
(Ch 1, skip the next st, sc in the next st) 12 times. Fasten off. {13 sc and 12 ch-1 sps}
Open your work up and check that the last sc falls in the first st of an increase on the motif to your right (left, if you are left-handed) and in the second st of an increase on the motif to your left (right, if you are left-handed).
Repeat these steps until all 6 Raindrops are joined to each other. Then repeat them for every Flower.
Work away allllllll your ends.
Filling in the Centre of the Flower
Once you’ve made all the Flowers, you will fill in the central holes. Please consult the Colourway Diagrams at the start of Parts 1 – 3 to find out which colour to use for which Flower.
Join your yarn by making a standing 3-dc Bobble in the ch-1 corner sp of any Raindrop. Make a 3-dc Bobble in each of the rem 5 ch-1 sps. Join to the first 3-dc Bobble with a sl st. Fasten off and work away your ends. {6 3-dc Bobbles}
This part is rather short, but it will keep you busy for a few minutes. In Part 5 HERE we will add Leaves to our Flowers.
