Row 28 (RS):  Sl st in the first 7 sts, ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in the next 31 sts, make 2 dc in the next st, skip the last 6 sts.  TURN.  {35 dc}

Row 53 (WS):  (Skip the next 2 sts, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in the next st, skip the next 2 sts, sl st in the next st) 12 times.  Fasten off and do not turn your work.

Tree Trunk

Row 54 (WS):  Join yarn by making FPdc around the marked st of Row 52, FPdc in the next 16 sts of Row 52.  TURN.  {17 FPdc}

Row 55 (RS):  Ch 3, dc in the next 16 sts.  TURN.  {17 dc}

Row 56 (WS):  Ch 1, sc in the first st, (tr in the next st, sc in the next st) 8 times.  TURN.  {9 sc and 8 tr}

Row 57 (RS):  Ch 1, sc in each of the 17 sts.  TURN.  {17 sc}

Rows 58 to 61:  As Rows 56 and 57.  Fasten off and work away your ends.

Now, I have absolutely no idea what you intend to do with this Christmas tree.  I blocked mine and bent some stiff wire into the tree’s shape before sewing the tree to the wire frame (for the Cream version).  You could also block it and attach it to a cardboard backing cut into the tree’s shape?

At any rate, you now have the pattern to do with as your heart desires!
