Jenny has been a very busy bee! She has fallen head over heels in love with Scheepjes Whirl and every time I see her, it feels like she has started another Whirl project. Of all the Whirl projects she has made so far, her Whirl Sophie is my favourite! It is just so bright and beautiful.
Show and Tell: Namaqualand in Colour Crafter Velvet
Ever since I first started working on the Namaqualand Blanket Pattern, I have wanted to know what it would look like in Colour Crafter Velvet. Now I finally know, and I LOVE it! This version turned out slightly larger than the Stonewashed version and the colours are more Autumnal and rich.

Yarn 2: Midnight Garden Edition and My Midnight Garden Lapghan
The Midnight Garden Lapghan I designed for Yarn 2 is a celebration of moonlit walks and simple crochet pleasures. The pattern is easy to memorise and the motifs are small, making it the perfect choice for an on-the-go project. Although the colours aren’t traditional baby colours, this blanket would be great as a gift for a new baby.
Devon Sun Yarns Retreat June 2017
I have just returned from my sixth yarn retreat with Devon Sun Yarns, and this one was a particularly special one. It felt like a big family get-together :)
My Story Shawl Pattern
Yay! It’s Friday and I can finally share the pattern for the My Story Shawl with you. This last week has been full of stories for the Lookatwhatimade family and I am still debating which ones I can share with you. So, while I keep myself busy with pondering, you are welcome to start making this shawl.
Show and Tell: My Story Shawl
We all have stories to tell and each of us has our own way of doing it. I like to tell my stories with yarn and a crochet hook, so I thought it only fitting that I call this shawl ‘My Story’. When I was still at school, we read a book called ‘Groen is […]

Last week I showed you some photos of the Scheepjes Whirl Jenny and I are using for our latest project. This week I am going to show you some work in progress (WIP) photos. I can tell you that it is a shawl and I can tell you that it is going to be called […]
Namaqualand Shawl Pattern
At last! I am finally getting around to sharing the Namaqualand Shawl pattern with you. The Namaqualand patterns are very dear to my heart (you can read more about that HERE) and I wear my shawl often! Every time I do, I am reminded of last summer’s lazy walks to and from the station, crocheting this shawl as I walked. […]
Scheepjes Whirl and a New Project
Jenny and I are working on a new pattern and when we were discussing which yarn would work best, we both immediately said: “Whirl”! Next week we will show you some work in progress photos, followed by the reveal the week after that, and the pattern the week after that.
