Hi Dedri
My sister and I are looking for a pretty bathroom set (toilet seat cover, bathmat and toilet mat.). We have search everywhere but could not find anything to our liking. How about a challenge for you to create one that we can crochet – like your Sophies creations?
My sister made the Sophies’ Universe and it looked so pretty. I also want to do that but at the moment I am busy with another project. Will do that as soon as my prject is done.
Thank you for all the beautiful crochet patterns you share with us.
Kind regards
Lorraine & Estelle

Thank you for sharing your patterns with us, they are great! Can not wait to get started on a few. :)

Good morning. Thank you for sharing your patterns. So enjoy the adventurous color and whimsey of your amamani critters.
I made the amamani ball which worked out okay. However, the kiwi is a very sad looking, pitiful creature. It is not fitting together in any reasonable manner and am wondering if you might have some insights to share regarding this problem. The first 2 rings kind of went together reasonably. But the 3rd one, the segment with head, is not fitting over the other 2, Also, looking at your photos, this 3rd segment does not line up of the segments, so wondering if my brain is not taking something in correctly. I can send a photo if you would like. I want this as a gift for a baby and do not want to send without figuring out this problem.
Could it be that my gauge was too tight or that my stuffing was too much?
ineke van den Bosch says
I very much like your Sophies garden. The pattern I got is from row 26. Maybe you can send me also the beginning. I live on an island in the Cariben. Crochet is here an hot item. Thank you, regards, Ineke
Dedri Uys says
Hi Ineke. You can find the link to the first 25 rounds at the beginning of this tutorial. You need to make Sophie’s Mandala (Large) first in order to square it off with this tutorial.
Serena says
hi, I found a photo of four sweet little dollies that you made. They were underneath a photo of a block a week.
I’d love to make them. Do you have a pattern?
Also a Great Big Thanks for being so very generous in sharing your patterns, and being so patient with all your tutorials .
Means such a lot to us all, esp those of us who are of a certain age, and have trouble remembering things. Thank you, XXXX
Dedri Uys says
Hi Serena,
I made them ages and ages ago and didn’t jot down which book I made them out of, so I can’t tell you where to get the pattern, I am so sorry. As for sharing, I do so with great joy and am very pleased that you find my tuts useful x

Ek wil dit baie graag vir my kleinseun maak as ‘n erfstuk. Hoop jy kan my help!
Dedri Uys says
Dinah, ek het nie so ‘n kombers om my website nie, so jy sal vir my ‘n link moet stuur sodat ek kan sien waarvan jy praat.

Dedri Uys says
Dankie Mysi. Sterkte met die liefdadigheidsprojekte. As jy vashak, skree net, dan help ek :)

Dedri Uys says
Hi Vicky. Dis net ‘n plesier. My ma-le bly in Jeffreys.
Dedri, goed gedoen: die patrone so bymekaar is sommer weer ‘n inspirasie. Groete.
Dedri Uys says
Baie dankie, Magda. Het jy al ‘n tjorretjie gemaak?
