About a month ago I told you about the colouring books I bought from Leisure Arts (you can read more about that HERE). I loved them so much that I offered to review one of their new Color Art books. They kindly sent me a free copy of Kaleidoscope Wonders.
The book contains 24 beautiful designs. Each page is perforated so that you can easily tear them out (either to distribute in order to avoid fighting, or to make it easier to colour them in and display them). The thing I like most about this book is that the designs are only printed on one side of the page. The pages themselves are thick with a wonderful texture.
The flower design above is my favourite. It is floral, but not too floral. It has lots of little areas, but not too many. I also really liked the design below. The whole page is filled with hearts inside hearts.
There’s one more design that caught my eye. It looks almost like persian tiles.
Notice how the design above has really thick outlines? That’s another thing that appealed to me. I like it when the lines aren’t just there to ‘tell’ you where to colour, but actually make a statement.
I love Kaleidoscope Wonders and will definitely continue adding to my ‘grown up’ collection of colouring books. The next one on my list is Abstract and Geometric Designs. You will find the rest of the Leisure Arts colouring books HERE.
Colouring in is amazing for so many reasons! Do you indulge and why?

Pamela, I suspect that you have clicked on an ad? There is nothing in this post that needs to be downloaded.

I started coloring 3 weeks ago, after breaking my left wrist in 2 places made it impossible form me to crochet or knit, which is what I usually do to relax or recharge during lunch and after work. I was getting bored, a little desperate and depressed when one evening I remembered reading about the adult coloring book craze. I ordered 2 books from Amazon. The next day I went to Hobby Lobby during my lunch hour and got colored pencils from the art section using the online 40% off coupon and after work stopped by Booksamillion to see if they carried adult coloring books so I could start right away since it was going to be 2 days before the books I ordered came in. Right in the aisle was a grand display of coloring books for adults and I spent the next 45 minutes looking through all of them before deciding on one to purchase. The rest as they say, is history. Now I’m hooked and have several books, more colors, pencils rolls to carry them along and have both my youngest grandchildren spending time in the evenings with me coloring. (They live with me.) I have until the end of October before the cast comes off ant I start physical therapy to be able to crochet again, but I doubt I will give up coloring altogether. It’s very relaxing.
